ChatGPT for Android
Description
ChatGPT for Android (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a chatbot launched by OpenAI in November 2022.
This app is built on top of OpenAI’s GPT-3 family of large language models, and is fine-tuned (an approach to transfer learning) with both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.
Features
ChatGPT was launched as a prototype on November 30, 2022, and quickly garnered attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge.
ChatGPT was fine-tuned on top of GPT-3.5 using supervised learning as well as reinforcement learning.
Both approaches used human trainers to improve the model’s performance.
In the case of supervised learning, the model was provided with conversations in which the trainers played both sides: the user and the AI assistant.
In the reinforcement step, human trainers first ranked responses that the model had created in a previous conversation.
These rankings were used to create ‘reward models’ that the model was further fine-tuned on using several iterations of Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO).

In order to run the application correctly, it is necessary to meet the minimum requirements given in the table below.

It is still possible to install the app on devices not mentioned above, but we cannot guarantee its proper functioning.
We recommend backing up the device on which the app will be installed before performing any installation of third-party apps not from the official app Store.

The last version implements the following new features:
- Write and debug computer programs
- Compose music, teleplays, fairy tales, and student essays
- Answer test questions (sometimes, depending on the test, at a level above the average human test-taker)
- Write poetry and song lyrics
- Emulate a Linux system
- Simulate an entire chat room
- Play games like tic-tac-toe
- Simulate an ATM
This application is from a third-party developer, so an automatic update won’t be available.
You will need to manually update the app by installing the new version from the APK file; the previous app will be replaced automatically.
All the updates have the latest fixes and optimizations, but their constantly changing nature means that little testing has been done on them and unknown bugs may appear.

- Select the folder containing the downloaded file
- Open the file .apk
- Press install button
- Launch the app
